Roots & Branches will bring Huddersfield into Graham Fitkin's Treeline project https://treeline.org.uk/, a unique pan-European musical and cycling journey connecting communities, trees and forests across Europe. During the autumn of 2026, children and families will contribute a uniquely Huddersfield response to a wider artistic exploration of biodiversity, ecological connection and environmental stewardship through making, sound and installation. Led by artist Isobel Denton, children and families will engage with the project at MakerWorld in Huddersfields Packhorse Centre and in local schools. The event, a concert by Graham Fitkin, will also celebrate the artworks and music made by local childen and families.
