Who runs Explore West Yorkshire

Explore West Yorkshire is run and funded by the West Yorkshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP). Funding is drawn from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, and its employees are part of Leeds City Council. We work very closely with the five West Yorkshire Local Authorities, who all sit on the LVEP board.

What is the purpose of Explore West Yorkshire?

To promote tourism in West Yorkshire. We want to boost the visitor economy by highlighting events and venues in the region, and show that West Yorkshire isn't just a great place to visit, but offer visitors a regionwide view of everything that is going on.

Can i book my holiday on Explore West Yorkshire?

Nope, but you can find plenty to do while you are staying here. We are not associated with the venues and events we host directly, and you can easily find out more about them and book on their websites.
